The idea came from another round of spring cleaning. I felt like I could almost hear the clothes saying, "don't you love me anymore?" I really feel like I let those clothes down.
lyrics
An empty closet waiting to fill
With those close that we never wear
It’s a surplus of family photos
That were taken but never shared
I’ve got a good excuse for your good intentions
They feel good to have around
They remind you of the ones that you love and let down
It’s a rusted cycle
Or a dusty bible
An unstrung guitar that lies around
It’s a lost vacation or your reputation
Let it go don’t let it drag you down
I’ve got a good excuse for your good intentions
They feel good to have around
They remind you of the ones that you love and let down
Yeah, they remind me of the ones that we love and let down
